First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals.
Director of Strategic Accounts
It was a series of short 15-30 minute interviews. They asked questions about my past work experience and how it would fit the role. I met with people from different departments like HR, Marketing, Commercial, and Market Access leaders.
- Tell me about a successful formulary addition you achieved and how you believe the strategy and tactics used would be applicable to this position.
Marketing Operations Manager
So the first step was a phone call with HR. Then I had a teleconference with the hiring manager, who actually showed up 10 minutes late. After that, I went to their headquarters for an in-person interview with five people, and each of those meetings was 30 minutes. The HR person said they'd have a decision in a few days. They seemed really keen to get the process moving, but not so much about giving me an answer. I followed up a bunch, and three weeks later, I got a generic email saying they picked someone else.
- Can you describe your experience in managing email communication for commercial teams?
Data Analyst
The interview process has 4 rounds. First, an AI interview where you record a video response with 60 seconds to prepare. Then, an HR interview, followed by an assessment, and finally a technical interview.
- Tell me why you think you're a good fit for this position.
Clinical Development
The company was really disorganized and didn't seem to care about the scheduling problems they caused. They also didn't pay for my hotel after flying me to their headquarters, telling me I was on my own. That's a first. The HR person was totally unhelpful.
- Was your age a hindrance?
- What's your approach to handling a specific situation in clinical development?
