So I was contacted by HR about this role, and we scheduled an online interview. It was the first step, just me and the interviewer, and we talked about my knowledge and experience.

It was pretty straightforward and the team moved me quickly. The interview questions mostly focus on my ability to work at a startup without much structure, my experience selling large deals, and hard examples of self-sourcing my own opportunities.

Behavioral Presentation

I first connected with a recruiter and then applied. After that, I had a 30-minute meeting with the hiring manager, followed by a 30-minute chat with a teammate. Then, I met with a cross-functional team member for 30 minutes, and after that, I met with the CEO for 30 minutes. The final step was a situational presentation where I had to roleplay as an upset customer. Even though I did well with everyone else and with the CEO, who asked me questions I'd already answered, I didn't get the offer. The CEO seemed really focused on my KPIs and even made a comment about my education, which was a first for me. I did like learning about the company and enjoyed talking to most of the interviewers.

The process was messy and unfocused. There wasn't a recruiter interview or any screening to align on basic operational things like timeline, salary, or KPIs. My first interview was with the hiring manager and it went okay, but then things got rushed and haphazard. I had my 3rd and 4th interviews scheduled for the same day. For my 3rd interview, a senior leader was over 5 minutes late for a 30-minute meeting and asked me to wait while they finished something else. They only asked 2-3 general questions that didn't relate to the role at all. They left only 13 minutes for my questions, and gave yes/no answers. The interview ended 6 minutes early. Then, for my 4th interview at 3pm, I checked my calendar at 2:47pm and saw it was canceled without any email notification or explanation. I wouldn't recommend this company or team.
