The initial process to get a phone screen scheduled felt unprofessional, which was a red flag from the start. After the phone and first interview, I didn't get an update when they said I would, so I followed up. Then, they told me hiring for the role was paused, but they've been reposting it on LinkedIn every week since.

The hiring process for plumbing pros kicked off with a 30-minute introductory phone call with the main talent acquisition person. After that, there was a 30-minute Zoom meeting with the leaders directly in charge of the role. The last step was a phone call, which led to a job offer.

I got contacted quickly after applying online. First, there was a recruiter phone screen, then an in-person interview that didn't go well. It was only 15 minutes, and I knew it was over early on. I had to ask questions to make it last 22 minutes. It felt like they already had someone picked and I was just a formality. Nobody seemed happy to be there, and it felt like they didn't want to do the interview. I tried to match their energy, but one person barely looked at me and just wrote notes the whole time. The interview wasn't hard, but I couldn't connect with them. Another person was engaged, but their energy was off, and when I offered my cover letter detailing other projects, they refused it. That's when I knew I wasn't being considered.
