First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Les Mills International.
Business Development Specialist
The first step was a phone screening where we talked about myself and my passion. They explained the job duty, KPI and salary. They also asked why I want to work for this company and about my experience of cold calling. Finally, they asked if I had any questions.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What drives you?
- Can you describe the responsibilities of the role?
Software Engineer
The first step is an online video interview, which includes four questions. 1. Describe a challenging project, why it is challenging, and how you solve it. 2. Describe a bug and how you solved it. 3. What motivated you to become a software engineer? 4. Your expected salary and experience.
- Tell me about a challenging project you worked on, what made it difficult, and how you overcame those challenges.
- Can you describe a bug you encountered and the steps you took to resolve it?
- What inspired you to pursue a career in software engineering?
Director of Events
I had a few phone screenings with different people on the team, and then they scheduled a Skype interview. Unfortunately, their tech didn't work, so it ended up being another phone call. After that, I met with the whole team, and that went pretty well. It was a new role for them. Then, they gave me a 'Practical Challenge' where I had to spend hours writing about my experience and how I'd set up the role and its key aspects. I sent back the 6-page response, and then I heard nothing back. I felt like they took my ideas but didn't hire me.
- What would be your plan for the first 90 days in the role?
- Are you someone who would participate in Les Mills exercise classes?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Customer Support Specialist
I applied online and got an email the same day for a fit quiz. About a week later, I got another email to set up a phone screening. A week after that, they emailed again to schedule a video interview. For the video interview, I met with two managers, one from Product and one from Support. The Product manager talked about the company and the product roadmap, while the Support manager was there but didn't say much. A week later, I got a rejection call saying they chose someone else, even though they have over 60 job openings right now, including the one I applied for.
- What makes you want to work for Les Mills?
- What about this role interests you?
- Can you tell me about your experience and background?
