The interview was virtual, over Teams. The interviewer seemed distracted and uninterested, like he just wanted to finish. His kid kept interrupting. The questions felt vague but too simple, making the whole process seem like a joke. I was not impressed; it felt very unprofessional.

It was nerve-wracking. One manager was sick, and I ended up getting sick. They held that against me when I couldn't make the second interview. Only one manager asked me questions, but for the second interview, it was supposed to be another manager. I feel they should have all asked me their questions. I was in there for over an hour.

Behavioral Technical

I was contacted by a recruiter and went through interviews both online and in person between Nov and Dec 2018. The process was friendly, and they were flexible with scheduling. I received an offer, passed a drug test, but then they rescinded the offer. They cited being too far off on expectations and not feeling I was committed enough, especially regarding relocation assistance and sign-on bonuses. They seemed to think my questions about flexible hours (due to a long commute) and attending UX events showed a lack of commitment. The hiring manager never contacted me directly to discuss this, which I found unprofessional. I don't recommend Lereta for UX researchers because they don't fully grasp the role and believe UX researchers must always be in the office. They don't have a dedicated UX team and aren't trained in UX, so you'd have to educate them.

It was pretty intense, a bunch of private interviews. A consultant that they hired also interviewed me, and I had to do 5 tests covering my management and operational background. It was tough. They met me at a restaurant for an offsite to check me out in a more casual setting.
