Behavioral Presentation

I was contacted for a phone interview. During that call, we set up three interviews back-to-back, which they presented as a single interview. Although the interview went well, the last interviewer seemed disengaged from the start. Instead of one group interview, they conducted them separately, forcing me to repeat my experience multiple times. I also noticed a lack of diversity, particularly African Americans, in the office, which wasn't entirely surprising given my prior interactions. Despite being well-qualified and a good fit, I wasn't shocked by the offer, as the overall atmosphere suggested it.

Behavioral Technical

I applied on LinkedIn and it was a pretty good experience. It started with a phone call from someone, nice and passionate about the company. Culture is important to me, so that was great. The questions were tough. I was later invited to the office for more interviews. I met with three more people that day, all great. They all seemed experienced and down to earth. They emphasized their passion for the company's mission. The interviews were good, a balance of basic and difficult. It was actually pretty fun :). I got an offer but accepted another one.

Behavioral Other

My experience started with impersonal emails from 'The LendUp Team', making it hard to know who I was corresponding with. Then, a scheduled call with a Manager was delayed by 15 minutes without any notice. Although he did apologize for the lateness and lack of communication. He asked me background questions, and when I inquired about the role, he told me to guess what it entailed. I explained I hadn't worked in that industry and suggested he describe it to save time. His description sounded like a call center or customer service job. Two weeks after the interview, I received a congratulatory email from 'The LendUp Team' inviting me for an onsite interview, which struck me as arrogant and detached, especially since they reviewed my application instead of acknowledging our prior conversation. I declined the interview because the process felt off. I hope they improve their recruitment process as they grow.
