Too many interviews and wasting peoples time. 3 interviews not to be offered the job is ridiculous. Generally speaking, a third interview is a formality. Three hours down the drain not to get the job. I also find it degrading that no one could even call me to tell me I didn’t get the position, I received an automated email. Also, during the three interviews with 5 different people, they asked the same exact questions.

The interview process involved three interviews. The first was a 30-minute call with a recruiter. The second was an in-person interview with two engineering managers, which focused deeply on my background and how it applied to the role, without any coding or whiteboarding. The third interview was with the Director of Engineering and felt more like a casual conversation. Overall, the process was great, and I appreciated how Lendio values culture fit and how quick and smooth it was.

I applied at Lendio on their careers page. A member of the People’s team reached out to schedule a phone interview, and I was excited to talk with them because Lendio is a great company. However, the team member didn't call at the scheduled time. I called them 20 minutes after the missed call and left a voicemail. They rescheduled within a minute, but they didn't call for the rescheduled time either. I followed up twice by email over the next month and never heard back. While this was a negative experience, I don't think it's typical for the company. I'm not sure what happened, but I would still take her call. Things happen, and maybe she was too embarrassed to reschedule a third time. The worst part about being ghosted is not knowing why.

If they like your application, you get a call and a quick interview. In this mini-interview, they'll ask about your job history and why you're interested in Lendio. A few days later, you'll have an in-person interview with the Sales Manager, VP of Sales, or VP of Operations. A second interview might be scheduled with the CEO, CFO, COO, or a mix of them, to check if you'd be a good cultural fit. If they decide to offer you the job, they'll email you the employment agreement and a summary of benefits and pay. After you sign and send it back, you'll need to set up a drug test and provide info for a background check.
