First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LendingPoint.
DevOps Engineer
I went through a two-round interview process for a Junior DevOps Engineer role. It wasn't too difficult. They asked questions about Linux, some about Kubernetes and Helm, and also some basic behavioral questions.
- Can you share your experience with Kubernetes?
Senior Software Engineer
I connected with them via a recruiter and then went through three technical interviews. The first two went pretty well, and I got good feedback. They asked about my experience, tech stack, coding habits, clean code, design principles, and microservice design. The last interview involved a LeetCode problem, but honestly, the question didn't make much sense to me. I eventually worked through it with the interviewer, but it seemed to take too long for them, and I didn't get the offer. A junior programmer conducted this last interview, which felt like a ridiculous way to assess candidates.
- Can you solve LeetCode 1637, which is about infinite vertical width?
VP, Architect
Showed up 10 minutes late to a 30-minute Zoom call. The interviewer seemed disinterested from the start. They asked about me and a couple of 'how would you do things' questions. The interviewer mentioned that my approach was similar to how they ended up doing things. Then, someone interrupted to say another interviewee was present. They had a 5-minute muted conversation while I waited. I asked a few questions, and then the interview concluded. It was very unprofessional and a waste of time.
- Could you introduce yourself and describe your previous role?
- In what ways would you approach a particular task or problem?
Sales Manager
It was a really smooth and professional process. Took about 6 weeks to get from the interview to signing the offer. The hiring managers were super open about things and HR made sure I knew what was happening at each stage.
- What kind of goal incentives would you implement?
