It was a good interview process, not too long and not too short. There were 2-3 rounds in total. The first two rounds were online interviews, and the final round was an onsite interview. The hiring manager was very open to any questions I had, and the interview felt very respectful.

I applied for a C# Software Engineer position, but during the interview process, they asked me to consider working with C++ despite my lack of experience in it. While I'm open to learning new technologies in general, I'm hesitant to accept a role that requires skills I'm not comfortable with from the start, as it can lower my salary expectations and increase my discomfort. I believe this approach might be a cost-saving measure for the company, but it's not ideal for me as I have other options available. Be aware that if you apply for one role, you might end up being interviewed for a different one.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Tell me about your experience with C# and willingness to learn C++.

First, I had a screening with HR and the team lead, which was about 45 minutes and very pleasant, nothing out of the ordinary. Then, I had to prepare a presentation of a relevant project I had worked on to present to the team. The presentation itself was about 20 minutes, followed by a Q&A session with the team members. After that, I had the opportunity to ask the team some questions. The total time for this round was about an hour. It was pleasant, and no particularly difficult questions were asked. Finally, there were onsite interviews. However, I was not invited to this stage as the decision was made to fill the position internally.

  • Which programming language did you use for that?
