The interview process went great until I was ghosted. I dislike employers with zero integrity. The people I spoke to seemed fine. There were no stand-outs or negatives. However, I can't stand it when employers lack respect for my time.

We exchanged a few emails about my studies and previous fab experience. Then, I spent two weeks shadowing and training. It was pretty unconventional but really practical. At the end of the two weeks, senior engineers decided to hire me as an intern.

First, I spoke with HR who stressed the startup environment and the extensive workload, mentioning that the role would involve many different tasks. They asked general questions about my background. Then, I was scheduled to meet with a VP weeks later. This interview was much more detailed, with the VP requesting specific action plans, which was a bit confusing given the unclear job description. I was informed about another upcoming interview with a different VP, but after waiting a month with no word, I had already accepted a position elsewhere. They reiterated that the team is small and the workload is high.

First, there was the standard recruiter phone call. Then, a call with the hiring manager that was pretty good and informative. After that, two rounds of technical interviews and one behavioral interview. It felt like the technical interviewers weren't super experienced, asking a lot of questions about their own technology or problems. And the worst part was the ghosting after the interviews. It's only polite to update candidates, especially since we're investing our time too.
