First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Legion Logistics.
Sales
I applied online and then they had me come into the office for an interview. It was pretty quick, only about 20 minutes, and then about a week later they emailed me with an offer.
- What are your motivators?
- Why would you be a good fit for Legion?
Night Watch
I applied through Indeed, and after a quick HR call, I was invited for a formal interview with Levi the next day. I started two weeks after that. It's great that Legion is so accommodating for wheelchair users, going beyond what's legally required.
- What are my future goals?
Problem Solver
I talked with the headhunter and both owners, and they said they didn't have any reservations about my qualifications. At the end of my interview, one of the owners mentioned that an offer couldn't be made until the background and reference check was done because it's tough to take back an offer once it's given. I was feeling good about getting an offer early the next week. But I got rejected. I asked for feedback, and an HR assistant said, "We really liked your personality and thought you had good drive and passion. However, we had limited positions to fill and we decided on candidates that had a little more sales experience." I asked why that wasn't mentioned when I asked about reservations, and the head of HR replied, "We feel like you have many strong suits that would make you successful in many industries, and I don’t honestly think that we have any true “concerns” about your ability. However, we find that people that have had some experience with cold calling and/or industry knowledge are able to really hit the ground running in this position and with a specific number of slots and tons of candidates, we made our decision based on prior experience." The website does mention cold calls, but not all employee bios are from sales backgrounds. I did say I'm not scared to use the phone. It felt like a lot of smoke and mirrors. They talked a lot about "unlimited" earning potential and career growth, which should have been a red flag about Legion's transparency. It seems like the only way to get hired is as a Problem Solver. I wonder how many others were led to believe they'd get an offer, only to have it pulled.
