We met in the restaurant for a brief in person interview. I received and accepted a job offer on the spot, after which I never heard from them again. Really disappointing for them to do this to a college student, and I heard from friends that this is unfortunately a common practice for them.

It was pretty standard, but the managers acted like my background was so impressive just to hire me then treated me like trash when I started. They don’t have respect for their employees. Just because it is the hospitality business doesn’t mean people can just treat you any type of way. The location had all men as managers. Nothing against that but they lacked empathy and organization skills as a whole. No one was ever on the same page. Being there were multiple managers it would be hard because the hiring process looked different for each of them. One also was not aware that they hired a new employee.
