First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Leftbank Art.
Marketing Manager
I had a good online chat with the hiring manager, then I got a link for a 45-minute assessment test that didn't really align with my skills or background. I still completed it, but I never heard back from them. It was a poor way to handle applicants.
- Can you describe your experience with previous marketing campaigns?
Frontend Developer
The interview process was pretty standard. The first call with the recruiter was fine, and they asked typical questions. However, I never got any rejection email. I was ghosted, and even when I tried to reach out, there was no response. It's really disappointing.
- What's your biggest pet peeve when looking at code?
Product Designer
I applied through Indeed and they reached out to schedule a Zoom interview. The interviewer was late to start and conducted the interview in a very unfriendly manner, without much greeting, jumping straight into questions. They didn't smile or offer any encouragement. I felt it was over from the start. They never followed up, so I was ghosted. It was unprofessional and rude, but given their bad Glassdoor reviews, I think it's for the best.
- Can you tell me about your skills with different software, specifically Adobe products and 3D rendering?
Product Developer
I saw the Product Developer job on Indeed.com and about two weeks later I was invited to interview at their La Mirada, CA office. The interview itself was with two interviewers and the questions were pretty easy for me. I'd seen some bad reviews for the company before the interview but decided to go anyway because I needed a job and figured my skills, experience, and attitude would be enough to get the job even if the environment was less than ideal. Unfortunately, it didn't work out.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
- Tell me about your experience collaborating with design teams.
- Describe your experience with building physical objects in a shop environment.
