After applying, I was contacted quickly. The interview wasn't too tough; it involved a demo followed by some questions. They were interested in how I'd manage specific situations and my approaches to classroom control.

I was contacted by recruiters via LinkedIn about a bilingual educator position on three separate occasions: once in 2020 and twice in 2022. I responded each time asking for more details, but they never replied. It seems like their applicant tracking system needs improvement.

It was a pretty standard interview, not much to report. Given it's a small school, I got to meet with some of the senior people right away. Everyone was friendly, and I can't really complain about anything.

I got there 10 minutes early and was fine waiting, but they were behind schedule so I had to wait an extra 15 minutes. They hadn't even looked at my resume, so I gave them mine. As we walked to the classroom for my demo, one interviewer was chatting about her night out and how much wine she drank. I thought it was weird, but I let it go. When we finally got to the interview, she said she didn't like one of the schools I'd worked at and didn't get why HR set up the interview. Her tone got really condescending after that. I told her I was uncomfortable with how she was talking to me. The other interviewer laughed and folded my resume in half before putting it down. I thought she was going to rip it and then stopped herself. It felt like a 'mean girl' situation. I couldn't leave fast enough. I should have believed the reviews I read beforehand, they all said the same thing about my experience. It was a super toxic place!
