First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LEDVANCE.
Sales Representative
Applied for the commercial lighting role, but the hiring manager seemed disorganized. They mostly talked about themselves instead of interviewing me. It was a disappointing process. The person really enjoyed telling stories. I hoped for a better use of my time.
- Stories about your accomplishments primarily.
- No questions were asked about myself.
Head of Product Management
This was an urgent position, so the interview with the CEO and CFO happened in one phase. It was an unstructured interview, more of an interesting conversation. I discussed my background, both professional and personal, answered their questions, and then heard about the company and the position. When I inquired about any concerns regarding my background, the CEO clearly stated two items. However, the feedback received later from the Staffing Agency was quite different, citing a "Lack of commercial skills for a regional product marketing manager," which was not required by the job description. The whole process felt confusing and unclear about their expectations.
- How familiar are you with Q-Gate Management?
Student Intern
You'll have a phone call first, and then an in-person interview at the office. They let you know pretty quickly if you got the job. If you're accepted, there's a final meeting to sort out the contract, also in person. The questions aren't intrusive and don't get into personal stuff. They often ask for details about your past experiences, and they're interested whether it was with a big company or a small startup.
- Are you comfortable using Excel software?
Financial Analyst
applied online thru a referral-got an email from them saying they were interested in me for candidacy-then had a phone call from the HR Manager to set up an interview-went in for an in person interview with two Accounting Supervisors, then the Financial Analysis Manager came in too-got an offer about 1 week later-the whole thing took about 2 and a half weeks
- Can you tell me about your experience generating regular sales reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis?
