So I had two interviews. The first one went well, and right after they invited me to a second interview on the same day. In the second interview, I had to present a task. The task was a pretty big deal, involved a presentation, a blog post, and a social media post. It wasn't super hard, but there was a lot of work, took me two whole business days. During the second interview, I presented the task and they asked me some regular interview questions, which I handled fine. But I didn't get a super good feeling overall. They said I'd hear back early the next week, but I never did. I followed up a week later, still no reply. The size of the task and then just being ghosted afterwards is just awful. It's a terrible way to treat people who put in their time and effort.

Behavioral Other

Learning Pool uses CCAT/personality tests to filter candidates initially. While I'm not stating these tests were used to discriminate here, they can introduce unconscious bias, especially for individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions. It's important for employers to recognize this. I really think employers should skip personality tests and instead ask situational questions directly related to the job, like how you deal with expectations under tight deadlines, or how you take harsh feedback.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process kicked off with a phone interview that went really well. Next up was a Zoom interview, same person plus one other, and that also went perfectly. The final stage involved traveling from London to their head office in Nottingham for a presentation and more questions. Some people from the team were there, plus one person joined remotely via laptop for the presentation part. Unfortunately, I got rejected for 'Cultural Fit', with no real explanation other than everything else was fine. The whole thing took ages, like two and a half months to get travel expenses back, and they didn't even apologize. It felt like the process dragged on forever, with two months between the first two stages.

Behavioral Presentation Technical

So the interview process was 2 stages and took like 3 weeks to get an offer. The first interview was pretty normal, the people interviewing me were really nice and easy to talk to. It was mostly about my background and what I'm into regarding tech and education. Then about a week later was the second stage, which included a presentation task. The brief was pretty open-ended, about how AI could be integrated into big companies. The second interview was also pretty good. They asked questions that made me really think about what I made, which is fair enough.
