First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Learning Express.
Sales Associate
The interview process was easy and typical. They read off standard questions and asked about availability, etc. They usually don't negotiate pay. There wasn't a benefits package offered when I applied, but that might be different now.
- Can you share an instance when you had to manage a disgruntled client?
Sales Associate
I got there a bit early, and they were super welcoming right away. It immediately felt like a great place to be. After we met, we sat down to talk. She asked some basic questions, and then we just chatted, and it felt really natural. She made me feel so at ease, and I knew this was where I wanted to work.
- There weren't any really tough questions.
- She struck a great balance between making me feel comfortable and being professional.
- It was a nice change and really showed me what Learning Express is all about.
Sales Associate
I saw the store was hiring through their email newsletter and went in dressed nicely just in case I could get an interview that day. The manager gave me an application to fill out and then scheduled me for an interview the next day. When I came in, the manager interviewed me. She asked me basic retail questions about why I wanted to work there and about my past experiences. At the end, she mentioned she'd be doing call backs for second interviews the following week on two specific days. She was really friendly, which made the experience nice and I wasn't nervous at all.
- What's your take on excellent customer service?
- What would you do if you saw a coworker struggling with a customer?
- Can you tell me about your experience at your previous job?
Sales Associate
After submitting my application, I was called in for an interview. It was pretty straightforward. We discussed my resume and I shared my reasons for wanting to work there.
- What prior sales experience do you have?
