Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

I went through four hours of interviews and a 150-question psych test. Initially, I was informed the position was no longer available, but I was contacted two weeks later for further interviews. An offer was extended, which I accepted. However, at the end of the phone call, I discovered the offered role was less senior than the position I had interviewed for, with an $8k decrease in annual salary, which was only disclosed at the very end of our conversation. I declined the offer. Two months later, a manager reached out via email stating the position was open again and urging a prompt response if I was still interested. I replied immediately, but the manager who contacted me stated they were not involved and directed me to another manager. This second manager informed me they were not considering me. The unprofessionalism and disrespect I encountered made this a terrible experience, especially after being told my interviews were great and my test results were high. The final unacceptable act was being contacted and then being told they weren't interested. This approach is childish and a waste of my time, as this concerns my future. I feel candidates are treated as mere numbers. This might change once employed. The last straw was them reaching out to me and then telling me they weren't interested. That is a childish game and I have no time for games, this is my future and I feel that they feel Candidates are just a number. Once you are an employee, that may change.

Behavioral

The interview process started with a recruiter call where they confirmed I was a good fit and laid out what to expect. But the next interview was totally different and didn't match what the recruiter asked or what they said the job was about. Even though both the interviewer and recruiter said I'd be perfect, I got rejected a few hours later because they said they don't need a designer to coach and teach stakeholders on best practices. If that's the case, why not just hire someone who can use Photoshop and skip the designer with full branding knowledge and design skills who can do all the design work? There's no point in looking for an expert if you're not going to let them do their job or what's needed to create the best designs and products.

Behavioral Technical

I had an initial phone screening with the HR manager, which went well. Then, I interviewed with the Hiring Manager, and it was disappointing. They seemed to conduct the interview just because it was scheduled. When I inquired about the hiring process, they mentioned that they had already completed final stage interviews for other candidates. I was rejected after this initial discussion without any technical questions being asked. If a candidate has already been selected for the role, it should be communicated clearly to other applicants. It's disheartening to have one's hopes and time wasted.

Technical Coding System Design

The onsite interview was pretty straightforward. I went through three technical interviews with engineers and QAs, and then I had a chat with the VP. The questions were mostly about their everyday tasks, like web development fundamentals, networking concepts, and so on. They also threw in some basic coding challenges and a whiteboarding exercise.
