First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LeapFrog.
Quality Assurance Engineer
It was a two round interview process. They mostly asked about types of testing, covering functional, regression, load, API, automation, and stress testing. They also inquired about mobile app testing specifically for Android and iOS.
- Can you tell me about the various types of testing?
- Describe functional testing.
- What is regression testing?
DevOps Engineer
The interview was comfortable and friendly, lasting around 30 minutes. I really enjoyed how they asked questions and made me feel at ease. The questions were easy. They reviewed all my submissions very carefully, even checking my GitHub repo which I had pushed that same day around 2 am.
- Can you explain the difference between hashing and encryption?
Administrator
The interview process at Leapfrog for an administrative role is pretty interactive and the interviewers are friendly. It usually starts with submitting an application online and then a quick screening. After that, HR will give you a call or video chat to see how you communicate and check your background. If they like you, you'll have some face-to-face interviews with the hiring manager and other team members. They'll want to see your admin skills, how you solve problems, and if you'd fit in with the company culture. Sometimes, you might have to do some skills tests or give references. The last step is a final interview with the higher-ups, and then they'll make an offer if everything checks out, including background checks and other stuff. They're basically looking for your technical abilities, how flexible you are, and if you're on board with their values and mission.
- What makes you the best candidate for this position?
Finance Manager
Interviewed with 10 employees over 3.5 hours, and still no response. The interview process seemed to be about figuring out gaps and redesigning the position on the fly. Interviewers weren't as prepared as I'd expect. No follow-up from the recruiter after a full day of interviews, even after sending thank-you notes and status check-ins a couple of weeks later. It was an expensive day in terms of my time and time off work, only to not even get a courtesy response. Whether or not I was selected, if a candidate takes a day off work for multiple interviews, it's just common courtesy and professional to at least send a 'no thank you' message. Really disappointed by this lack of basic courtesy or professionalism.
- At what ROI level would you decide to present a product to the executive staff, and what would prompt you to alter those triggers?
- What ROI level would a product need to hit for you to consider presenting it to executives, and what conditions would make you change the triggers for that presentation?
