So first there was a recruiter screening call that I had to reschedule, but it went fine. Then I had a technical interview with a DSA question, like the same ones they've been asking for years, which I solved easily. After that, I got a take-home assessment to build an admin dashboard for managing expenses, and I finished that in under 48 hours. They passed me to the next round where I had to explain my project and data structures. Everything went well, and I thought I'd move on, but I got rejected.

It was a pretty long process, about 5-6 stages before the take-home, which wasn't included. It started with a recruiter call asking why I was interested in the company. Then there was a 45-minute coding and algorithm test in JavaScript. After passing that, I got a debrief on the take-home project and some questions I could ask. I had 24 hours to finish the take-home, with a focus on data modeling and optimization. If I passed that, I had to present my project to three senior people. Like before, I was surprised to have to code during this interview, as they asked follow-up questions about my project that required coding. The next steps were a 30-minute culture fit interview and a 1-hour coding and technical interview. They didn't use an online code editor or prompt; the interviewer read the prompt, and I had to use my own editor. These seemed like the final stages, but one interviewer mentioned two more technical rounds, one of which was a one-on-one with a previous interviewer. I went through 4 stages for a Front End Engineer role at LeanData over 3 weeks, but ultimately didn't get an offer. It started with a recruiter phone screen, then a technical interview with a Leetcode easy/medium problem. After that, there was a take-home project where I had to build a simple app using any tech I wanted, followed by a review of that project. I wish they'd given feedback on the take-home sooner, as I just got a rejection without it. The overall process was pretty standard.
