I applied on the website and then the recruiter called to set up the first interview. I picked a day and time and got an email confirming it. But on the day of the interview, the recruiter didn't call. They also didn't send an apology or try to reschedule. A few weeks later, I got a rejection email saying they enjoyed talking to me but it wasn't a fit. It felt like a joke. Recruiter calls are the first step and I'm glad I didn't go further with them. It shows disorganization and disrespect for people's time. My advice to the company is to fix their recruiting process. Sending an email with a calendar link to schedule the initial call would save everyone time and stress.

I had four interviews in total. The first was a screener, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. Then there were two final interviews with the team. My initial hiring manager interview went really well, and they wanted to move forward, so I had to wait for the recruiter to contact me to set up the final interview. What really soured the experience for me was the way the recruiting was handled. They called me to schedule a screener instead of just emailing, which is inconvenient since most people don't pick up calls from unknown numbers. Then, on the day of my hiring manager interview, the recruiter called just to tell me I had an interview – and it was a Friday night, which felt weird. On the day of my team interview, I got another call to schedule yet another interview last minute. After waiting a week for an update, they called to let me know I didn't get the job. I had been emailing back and forth, but the responses were generic, like 'thank you for your interest,' which made me suspect I wouldn't get an offer. All the calling the recruiter did ended up with an automated rejection email. It felt really disorganized. The team itself was great, but the recruiting process was outdated and just not good.

I applied online. There was a prescreening call that was 45min-1hr. Those notes/transcription were shared with the hiring manager. I did not make it to the next step. Next steps I were told were: a case study in excel/SQL, 2 days in length, an interview, and a second interview. One of the best interviews/process' I have ever had. The recruiter David is the best! I look forward applying to Leafly in the future.

Behavioral Case

The hiring process was pretty simple and wrapped up in about 2-3 weeks. I found the job posting online and applied. A recruiter reached out in 3-4 days and wanted to chat about my background. We scheduled a call for the next week, and the recruiter call went well. It covered standard stuff like my experience, the role itself, and what I expected salary-wise. Later that week, I came in for interviews with several people in the sales team. They were all really nice and gave me a good rundown of the job and the company. The interviews lasted around 2 hours. They seemed to care a lot about cultural fit. The questions weren't super hard, mostly behavioral and situational.
