Applied for a senior developer role and the interview was pretty straightforward. The first question involved a PHP challenge to find the nth number in the Fibonacci sequence, which I found a bit tricky since I couldn't recall the exact formula. Then, I was asked to build a navigation bar using CSS and HTML. I mentioned that my expertise is in development rather than design, but I gave it a shot. The remaining questions were basic JavaScript tasks. At this point, during the Skype interview, I felt like I was wasting my time. They also seem to prefer plain JavaScript over jQuery, and using jQuery might be seen as not knowing anything. I found the interview quite unprofessional and it made me question the overall developer culture there. I briefly looked up the interviewer on LinkedIn, but didn't find anything remarkable. Ultimately, I realized I'm not interested in a role that involves a lot of CSS work, and I'm content with my current job unless a significantly better opportunity arises.

I submitted my application at a school career fair for engineers. They emailed me and said they wanted to invite me to their Intern Day. All potential interns had to take an on-site test on whatever you were interviewing for. Afterward, they called you to speak with two engineers from the team. The interview questions were easy: asked about past projects and an easy whiteboard array question.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Given two arrays, can you create a new array by concatenating the values from one to the other?
  • Can you tell me about your past projects?
  • Can you solve an easy whiteboard question involving arrays?
