So first I had to do a bunch of video recordings where I answered questions, which took a while, but I get it. Then I talked to their talent scout for a long time about my experience and qualifications. After that, they set me up with their software to do a 'test'. This whole thing was really time-consuming, but I guess they're trying to find the perfect fit. I followed up with the Talent Scout twice and they both times said the Hiring Manager would be in touch about next steps, not maybe, but definitely. I never heard back. I get that maybe I wasn't the right fit, but a quick rejection email would have been nice after all that. They said they're all about communication but couldn't even do that.

The process started with some video intros, then questions about the CEO's video, and then three more video questions for me. After that, I had my first POPs interview, which I felt went well, and they sent me the assessment. But after finishing the assessment, I didn't hear anything back, even after reaching out to everyone I talked to. Over a month later, I got an auto-message saying the job was filled. I really liked the company and the people I met, but it was a bummer not to get any acknowledgment after putting in all that time and effort. It was frustrating to go dark after each step.

I had to record a few videos when I first got contacted, and then I spoke with the recruiter before the hiring manager. I didn't get picked to move on to the hiring manager.

Applied in April and then got a response in early June 2024. They asked me to record a video answering 3 questions, and I wasn't sure why at first, but I gave it a shot. After getting rejected with a generic 'We decided to go with other candidates' answer, I questioned why. They got back to me saying, 'The current pool of candidates moving forward have lived the experience scaling from 10 to 50 million and beyond a number of times and that is the reason we have decided to move forward with those folks.' I'm not sharing this out of resentment; I knew from the first contact that something was off. Just sharing this review so others don't waste their time, and maybe management can benefit from this feedback.
