First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LeadIQ.
Marketing
It was a multi-step process where I spoke with all the team members, as well as specific leadership roles. Although no project was requested, I did have to brainstorm ideas on the various calls. The whole process took a few weeks.
- How would you go about creating interest in a market that is very competitive?
Front End Developer
The process was pretty straightforward. It started with a recruiter call, then a call with the HR head. After that, there was a technical interview, followed by a call with the head of engineering. Finally, they made an offer. The interviewer was great and the questions weren't tricky.
- Can you tell me about your Front End Knowledge?
- How would you approach these practical questions?
- What is your understanding of the theory behind these concepts?
Sales Operations
It started out pretty good - I got through a 2 step interview process, then was asked to do a project. I finished the project (which took about 9-10 pages and 4-5 hours), and then they strung me along for a month and a half. At first, they said remote work was an option, but then they mentioned management was having trouble justifying hiring someone who was remote. After that, they asked for references and said it would be contract-to-permanent. But then, they told me they couldn't afford to hire someone externally. This whole thing went down over a month and a half. I'm not saying this to be spiteful or anything, but because: 1) You shouldn't post job openings if you don't have the budget for it (the job is still listed) 2) You shouldn't say remote is okay when it's obviously not 3) You shouldn't make people do projects when you know remote work isn't ideal 4) You shouldn't keep people hanging for a month and a half, especially for a company this size. That being said, the first 2 phone screens were good and I initially had a positive impression of the company.
- Can you tell me about your sales operations experience?
- What's your experience with Salesforce administration?
Software Engineer
The interview process was quick and to the point. All the steps were set up well to help you learn about the company and the project. You get to talk about yourself and your experience, and you also get some time to chat with different parts of the teams.
- Could you elaborate on functional programming concepts such as functors or applicatives?
- Let's discuss the architectural design for a URL Shortener.
