First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LCEC.
Security Supervisor
I got a VM from them to set up an interview. I called them back in 2 hours, and then two more times. They put me off twice, but never returned my call. Two weeks later, I got a notice that they hired someone else. Unprofessional and Rude.

Buyer
The interview process included a telephone call, a Zoom meeting, and an in-person interview. It was a standard interview with thoughtful questions. The facility and team environment were nice, and the interviewer was well-prepared. The in-person part was a panel with 4 people who all participated.
- What steps would you take to modify a sole-sourced item?
IT Technician
This job's hiring process takes about 2-3 months, typical for corporate roles. It starts with an HR screening email, followed by a conference call with department heads, and concludes with an in-person interview. Before the in-person part, you'll complete assessments covering personality, basic math, pattern identification, and vocabulary. The final interview is a panel with HR and relevant department heads, focusing on simple questions about your IT field. HR will also discuss company values, emphasizing LCEC's role as a community first responder in disasters. I was told I'd hear back in a few days but received a generic rejection email. Despite not working out, I still see LCEC as a great company. The main hiccup was waiting nearly an hour for my panel interview after the assessment.
- Describe how you would manage a situation where you have urgent tickets for two executives and you're the only technician available on-site.
IT Security
For this small company, remember their HR isn't really trained. They start with a personality test with many questions asking the same thing, basically checking if you'd use/sell drugs or steal. Then an IQ test with sequence, word meaning, and synonym questions. Next, an interview with IT and HR folks (odd having HR there). They asked questions casually. Then a site tour meeting others. The interviewer told me I was the lead candidate and they'd decide next week. Three weeks later, I hadn't heard back, so I contacted HR. They said they *just* decided that day to go with someone else and were about to contact me. Clearly, they dropped the ball and had no intention of calling me. I don't mind not getting hired, but I hate being lied to. If I take time off, the least they can do is be honest and inform me before I have to chase them. This is on HR; their job is to manage the process and keep candidates updated. I decided I'd never apply to LCEC again after this unprofessional HR treatment.
- What are your five-year career goals?
