First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LBBW.
Sachbearbeiter
Met at reception, intro round, then discussed technical questions. Appreciative collaboration, personal development opportunities, conditions clarified, time for questions. The human is the focus here. Talent program available. Overall the conversation was clearly structured.
- How do you handle mistakes?
Investment Banking Analyst
The interview experience was pretty disappointing. The interviewer came off as a bit dismissive and unprofessional. The questions were mostly about basic, procedural stuff, the kind of things you could easily learn with minimal direction, instead of focusing on my actual skills, experience, or if I'd be a good fit personality-wise, which felt a bit short-sighted. Towards the end, when I talked about my interests and hobbies, they acted like my answers weren't real, which I found pretty disrespectful and unprofessional.
- Could you explain the process for conducting a comparable company analysis?
Management Trainee
First interview with HR, asking about motivation, career planning, relevant experiences, and a brainstorming question: How many gas stations are there in Germany. Friendly employee and generally very good experience. But the trainee program is certainly very competitive!

Intern
The interviewer was very friendly and nice. They asked general questions about my motivation and interest. Since I was still in school, the interviewer was accommodating about adjusting my work schedule to fit my classes.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is your understanding of Financial Institutions Coverage?
- What are your reasons for wanting to join this Company?
