First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lazarus Naturals.
IT Analyst
I started by submitting my application online with my resume and cover letter, then I waited for them to contact me. A HR person gave me a quick call for a phone interview, asking about my background and experience. Next, I went in person to meet the HR person and the hiring manager, and they asked me more detailed questions about my skills and experience. They also had me do a skills assessment while they watched. After that, the HR person called my references to check my work history. Then, the company did a background check on me. Finally, I got the job offer, which was awesome!
- What is the most ridiculous thing you have ever done?
- Estimate the number of tennis balls that can fit in this room.
- What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
Human Resources Coordinator
I applied on LinkedIn and got an email for a Google Hangouts video call interview. The interviewer was late and didn't turn on their camera. No warm-up or 'Tell Me About Yourself', it just jumped into questions. It felt like a biased interview, looking for someone from an 'in-group' rather than someone who could do the job, given the questions about the team's issues and leadership problems. I didn't hear back after the interview or get a response to my thank you email.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered an issue with a Manager and how you resolved it?
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a miscommunication and the actions you took.
- How do you feel about working in a situation without much structure or clear instructions?
R&D Manager
So I applied in January and it took about 8 weeks to get an offer. It was a phone screening, then a 2 hour technical interview, followed by a 1 hour interview, and then some admin calls. The offer itself was super vague, missing key parts of a normal offer. HR was super slow to respond and they didn't seem to value my time. We couldn't agree on salary because their offer was too low, and then they ghosted me. Don't bother with them.
- Could you introduce yourself briefly?
Inventory Control Analyst
The interview process was a bit disorganized, but the interviewers were great and clearly passionate about the brand. My main concern was the lack of follow-up after speaking with people. I also felt like some interviewers didn't quite grasp the nature of the role I was applying for when we spoke.
