I first spoke with a friendly HR person, then the hiring manager who was very positive. Within a week, I had two more interviews, also very positive. After a week break for a company event, I let them know I had another offer, and they told me to take it because they weren't sure when they'd actually hire for the position. When I followed up after their break, I mentioned the other offer, but expressed interest in the LAZ role. They advised me to accept the other job as they couldn't confirm a hiring timeline. This was disappointing because I was unemployed due to layoffs and couldn't afford to wait. Although I accepted the other position, the LAZ process left me frustrated and feeling let down by people I trusted.

The interview process consisted of three interviews in total. The first one was a standard 30-minute phone screen. The second and third interviews lasted half an hour, one with the manager (immediate supervisor) and the other with the department director. After completing the last interview, I was informed they would contact me within one week. However, after two weeks of not hearing from anyone, I sent a follow-up email to HR. It has been one week since my follow-up email and three weeks since my last interview. It is disheartening when candidates spend precious hours, weeks, and months in an interview process for a company to ghost them. I understand departments are busy, but even a short update or an automatic rejection email is better than radio silence.

The whole interview process took about 2 weeks. It began with a phone chat, then I went to Binghamton, NY to meet the LAZ team I'd be working with. A few days later, there was a MS Teams meeting with LAZ Parking in Schenectady, NY. Then, they asked me to come to Schenectady for a face-to-face meeting to speed things up. I drove 3 hours round trip for that. After that, another MS Teams interview happened, this time with LAZ Parking in NYC. The interviews went well, and on Friday, I got a formal offer over the phone from LAZ Parking, including the compensation details. I accepted, and they said HR would contact me for onboarding. I emailed the LAZ teams in Schenectady and NYC to thank them and say I was excited to join. They responded and confirmed the offer. The following Monday, I got a call saying they were no longer pursuing me for the position, with no reason given. I tried for about five minutes to get an explanation, but they wouldn't provide one. It was a really unprofessional experience and a complete failure of their stated values.

First, I had a Teams interview with HR. It was an intro and job overview. She discussed the company's US expansion. Then she asked about my past job duties. The second interview was with the manager and director, mostly the director asking questions. It lasted about an hour and wasn't too tough. The third interview was my chance to ask about the position. The manager and director asked a few more questions. This third one was easier, and since I'd met them before, I felt more comfortable.
