Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lawyers for Employee and Consumer Rights.
Senior Attorney
I had a phone call with the recruiter and hiring manager. Then there was a background check. The whole process took a few weeks and then I got an offer. The office manager called and told me a lot about the Company.
- Can you elaborate on your past work experience?
Attorney
I had a phone call with a recruiter, then a 2-hour assignment where I had to write a demand letter (kinda like a PT for the bar exam), then I had a video interview with one of the managing partners. About a week or so after that, I got a call from HR saying I got the job. The whole thing took about 3 weeks to a month. They told me what the next step was and were really good at communicating.
- How do you maintain organization?
Attorney
Had about 3 interviews, one with a recruiter, one with management, and one with the owner. We talked a lot about my background, what the firm's culture is like, and what they expect. We went over if our ideals align and if my experience is a good fit for what they need. Also discussed professional development and the firm's future.
