The interview process was pretty quick and not very challenging. It started with a phone screen with HR, then a Teams meeting with the hiring manager, followed by two back-to-back in-person meetings with the hiring manager and another person.

I had interviews over the phone, via zoom, and in person for this Legal Assistant role. They asked really standard questions for the position. It was a respectful interview, and they told me about the job and the pay range, as required by law in BC.

It was just a quick 5-minute phone call to start. They brought up the pay, and honestly, after that, there wasn't much more to discuss. They mentioned a base of 30k and an OTE of 65k-70k for the first two years. For the area I was looking at, the base pay is actually below minimum wage, and the OTE barely covers basic living expenses.
