First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
Analyst
I applied online and got a call 5 days later to schedule a Webex Interview a week later. The interview was very straight forward and they mainly asked me to go over my resume, asked pretty standard questions and explained what the organization does. But I was really nervous and I pretty much thought I messed up on the interview. They were really professional and nice, it wasn't an intimidating interview. I got an email two weeks later telling me I was one of the top candidates and asked for three professional references. Two days later I got the job offer.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
- Could you share an instance where you dealt with conflict?
- How do you manage your workload and decide what to do first?
Analyst
I applied online and then got a call, followed by an in-person interview with a group of people. It was a general interview where they asked what I knew about the company and to tell them about myself. The people were nice and I had a good time.
- Can you explain your understanding of procurement?
Analyst
It was a group panel interview with about 6 people. You have to do a presentation about something related to the position to show your knowledge and communication skills. If you know the info, the interview isn't too scary.
