Arts Instructor
It's a 2-part interview process. First, they do an initial phone screening, which is pretty much just get to know you questions. Then, the second interview is in person, and they show you around the center.
- Considering your background from another region, how would you adapt your lesson plans to be culturally relevant for students in D.C.?
Grant Specialist
It was a three-part interview. Not hard at all. The team was very nice during the final interview stage. When working in non-profits, they really want to make sure that you are passionate about the population you serve.
- How would you manage situations with tight deadlines?
WDS-I
The hiring process was super smooth and everyone was really helpful with getting me started. It was a three-part process: first a phone interview, then two Zoom calls with management. About a week after I started the interview process, I got a call with a job offer.
- What dish would you contribute to a company potluck?
Case Manager
It started with a phone call, then I met with the program director. After that, I had a sit down with the whole team. The interviews were pretty relaxed and the environment felt welcoming. The questions weren't too tough. They were mainly interested in my past work and skills. They also asked about how I'd manage specific situations with young people going through a crisis. The team came across as really supportive and genuine.
- Tell me about your background working with young people.
- What are your strategies for managing crisis situations?
- Can you share an example of an important adult relationship from your youth?
