First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Laser Photonics.
Marketing
The hiring process had two interviews. First, I spoke with HR over Zoom, and then I had an in-person meeting with two members of the marketing management team. It was a really transparent process and felt like a two-way conversation. I learned a lot about the company and the role I got hired for, and they got to know me well, which ultimately led to my hire.
- Were you comfortable with working in a large team and delegating tasks?
Digital Marketing Specialist
This was probably the most disheartening interview process ever. I had 3 in-person interviews over 6 weeks. Each time I met with more people from the team or executives, and each time they told me I had their approval and would get an offer. Well, it's been over 2 months and still no offer, and worse, no communication. I've called and emailed about the status, but no one responds. I feel discriminated against and would warn others interviewing here. They repeatedly told me I'd get an offer and even pushed me to give my employer notice, all without a formal offer, which is concerning. If they found someone better, fine, but they should at least have the decency to communicate that instead of ignoring me.
- Can you describe your general experience with websites?
- What is your background in managing and producing video content?
- Tell me about your prior experience relevant to this position.
Digital Marketing Manager
I spoke with Laser Phototonics a few months ago. I was on vacation but still made time for an initial screening interview. We had a good chat, but I wasn't sure about them and they weren't sure about me. They talked about their interview process and expectations. The HR rep bragged about her protocols and said they always get back to candidates, even with bad news. That wasn't true. Companies that don't care about their interview process and candidates' time likely don't value their employees. The job has been posted a few times before and since my interview.
- Can you tell me about your marketing experience?
Web Developer
The interview process was quite straightforward. However, the senior recruiter was unprofessional. After I was invited for an in-person interview and met with teammates and was shown around, the recruiter went silent and ghosted me. I tried reaching out but got no response. At the very least, an email saying they chose another candidate would have been polite. I wonder about the company's operations given this experience. Another downside is the expectation of working from 8 AM to 6 PM.
- Can you discuss general topics related to your resume and skills?
