First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lark.
Software Engineer
The interview process was quick and to the point. The team was clear about the role and the skills they were looking for, which made the interviews relevant and engaging. It included five stages: an HR screening, a chat with the Hiring Manager, two technical interviews, and a final call with a leadership member. All the interviewers were friendly and enthusiastic, and I felt valued throughout the entire process.
- Tell me about your thought process for solving coding problems, focusing on SQL and LeetCode-style questions.
- Describe how you would design an ETL system to ingest data from various sources like streaming, API, and SFTP, making it available for Insights.
Software Engineer Intern
I had a video interview where they asked about my past experiences and skills, it was pretty basic. After that, I was sent a coding challenge, but it was really open ended and I wasn't sure what they were looking for. I never heard back from them after that.
- Can you talk about your previous coding experience?
Software Engineer
First up was a 30-minute behavioral chat about my background and the company. Then, a one-hour technical interview that used standard data structures/algo questions but tailored to the product. The final stage was a virtual onsite with four interviews: one technical, a casual chat about the company, another technical one focusing on problem-solving without coding, and an interview with the CTO. The whole thing felt pretty balanced between tech and behavioral, and they gave me lots of info and help to learn about the company.
- Can you tell me about your technical background and any past projects you've worked on?
- Could you describe your background and what interests you about our company?
