Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Laredo ISD.
Special Teaching Assistant
The interview questions were simple and easy to answer. Most job interviews will provide you a copy of interview questions to follow through. Some interviews are just 1 to 1 or 2-3 people in the interviews. It is better to be prepared and always focus on your career background that is related to the job description and experience.
- Many interviews begin with a request to introduce yourself.
Math Teacher
I went through interviews at three different schools, and each school had its own list of questions. Before starting the interview, they all let me have a moment to review the questions on a piece of paper.
- Can you explain the steps involved in a lesson cycle?
Teacher Aide
The interviewer made it clear my bachelor's degree studies didn't mean anything to him and that there was no need to bring it up. He mentioned I likely won't be called. It wasn't my best interview and I would've been completely okay not getting called after the answers I gave, but no one likes a jerk.
- What makes you qualified for this position?
- How have you used technology, and are you comfortable with it?
- Can you describe two different teaching methods and approaches?
