First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Landmark Worldwide.
Accountant
I had two remote interviews with the Controller and another accounting manager. In both cases I had robust and engaging conversations with obviously intelligent, well-meaning, people. I enjoyed the conversation and ultimately would've been excited about the position- however, I didn't want to commute to the office which was a deal breaker for me. Technically, I think we were a good fit, but my lifestyle requirements won out at the end.
- What are you looking for in a team?
Real Estate Manager
I interviewed with all the executives over a 4-month period, including the CTO, CFO, VPs, President, Directors, and the CEO. Each interview helped me understand the role better and how I'd work with each executive.
- What is your response when you make a mistake that costs the company thousands of dollars?
IT Support Specialist
I met with HR assistant for 15 minutes, then head of HR for 15 minutes and then the IT Support Director for 1 hour. The HR questions were about how I would handle difficult and demanding executives. The IT discussion was an overview of the role and also included moderately extensive travel (about 4-5 days/2 months).
- Tell me about how you would handle an executive who was impatient and "rude" when his e-mail or computer was not working.
Management Trainee
First, there was a group discussion to see how everyone communicates, leads, and works together. Then, an HR round to check personalities, if people fit the company culture, and what they want to do. Lastly, a VC round to see if candidates know their stuff, can solve problems, and are a good fit for what the company is aiming for.
- Tell me about situational based questions.
- Why are you interested in the retail industry?
- How do you approach solving customer issues?
