It was a quick interview because I was the only one interviewing. The manager was friendly and made me feel comfortable. He was able to interview me because the sun in the wine bar was blinding him, so he moved. The manager was funny. I arrived 2 hours early and they were happy to interview me then. The concierge folks were friendly at the time, but the building was confusing since it was connected to a mall and a theater, and I wasn't used to it.

Group Presentation

The interview process involved a group interview with the general manager, observed by 3-4 crew members and 2 additional managers. It was a large group setting with 15 participants and lasted exactly one hour. We engaged in two party/drama-class style games, followed by a third activity where we had to choreograph a short dance. Although it was fun and relaxed, I don't think it really showed everyone's skills or personality. It was also a bit strange that everyone was told to dress really casually, with most people in t-shirts, hoodies, and sweaters.

I sent my resume in through Craigslist. The interview was super quick and pretty basic, with some role-playing scenarios involving customer service and making small talk about films. Even though I'm not a big movie person, it wasn't too hard. I was a bit worried at first because of my bright green hair and piercings, but then I saw a guy at the front desk with a foot-high mohawk, so I felt pretty good about it.

It was a pretty chill interview with the theatre manager. They went over what the job entails and the skills you need. It was in person, and then they showed me around the place.
