Behavioral Case

The interview process started with an HR screening, followed by a call with either the Hiring Manager or another team member. After that, there was a take-home case study. Initially, the process was great, with everyone being responsive and moving quickly. However, after submitting the case study, there was complete silence. I kept being told they would review it and get back about next steps. I understand if it's a rejection, but after putting in effort to complete the case within 72 hours, some kind of response would have been appreciated.

It's a lengthy but potentially fast-moving process. I managed to complete two interviews each week, excluding the take-home project. The entire journey from the initial screening to receiving an offer took approximately one month. The stages included a Hackerrank assessment, a technical Q/A session, a take-home project with a review, a pair programming exercise, and finally, a meeting with the co-founders.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Questions will focus on CS fundamentals and algorithms, geared towards solving practical problems rather than strict Leetcode style.
  • Be prepared to articulate your thought process, especially for the take-home project which is open-ended regarding tech stack and design, and could be time-consuming if you aim for perfection.

Had an initial call with the hiring manager. The role's scope seemed a bit unclear and shifted during our discussion, which was a little disorganized. Everyone was really friendly and enthusiastic about the company's mission, though. I just wish the role expectations had been clearer from the start.

There were a few rounds of interviews and a homework assignment. Everyone I spoke with was pleasant and approachable. However, I was disappointed that they didn't discuss compensation details upfront, only after I had already dedicated significant time to the process.
