Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Landis+Gyr.
Senior Firmware Engineer
So there were two technical interviews, and then a mix of technical and HR. Both were online. It was pretty basic difficulty-wise. All in all, pretty good.
- Could you explain metering fundamentals?
- Tell me about basic electronics.
- Do you know C programming?
Firmware Engineer
The interview was tough, they asked about basic C and C++ concepts, microcontroller interfacing with ADC, and watchdog timers. They went deep into some electronics and C programming topics.
- What are the storage classes in C?
- Can you explain inheritance?
- What is function overloading?
Firmware Development Engineer
We had an interview drive in Bangalore, so all the interview rounds were on the same day. There were a total of 4 rounds: 2 technical rounds, 1 managerial round, and 1 HR round. After the interviews, the HR person mentioned they'd check feedback from the technical rounds. It seems like a lack of transparency in the process - why proceed to the last round if feedback from earlier rounds is still pending?
- Could you explain concepts related to multi-threading?
- How do synchronization mechanisms work?
- What are the OS concepts related to scheduling?
