First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lamb Weston.
Senior Learning and Development Specialist
It was a pretty straightforward process. I started with a standard recruiter screening, and after that, I was moved to a virtual panel interview. They asked typical interview questions, and the vibe was friendly and authentic. I didn't get to the next stage, but I think there was supposed to be a final in-person interview before they made a hiring decision.
- What are your strategies for handling the specific challenges posed by employees in the manufacturing sector?
Trade Marketing Manager
The interview process involved meeting with two managers, and a case study was planned for the next stage. Unfortunately, I did not receive the job offer. The feedback process was extremely slow, taking over a month, and I had to initiate contact to receive a generic rejection email. Notably, during the interview, I was asked about my plans regarding children, which felt like an inappropriate and potentially discriminatory question.
- Were you asked about having children or future plans for children?
Salesforce Administrator
So there were like 3 interviews in total. It started with a phone call with HR, then a zoom interview with my direct manager since I'm remote, and finally a panel interview with their managers. HR was really great at letting me know who I'd be talking to and how their roles connect to the one I applied for. They even gave me a direct number to text or call if I had any questions, besides their email, so it was super easy to communicate throughout. They were also good at giving me a timeframe for when to expect a response and they actually stuck to it. I never had to wonder if I'd been ghosted or wait around forever.
- Can you tell me about your current role?
Project Engineer
So first I had a call with a third-party recruiter, then a zoom with an engineer from Lamb Weston and someone from HR. After that, they had me fly out to the Job site in Boardman, OR, which is pretty close to the other sites in Kennewick/Pasco, WA. The actual interview part was pretty short, like 30 minutes, and it felt more like they were trying to sell me on the company. Then we spent about an hour and a half touring the facility.
- Can you tell me about a project you planned where you made the final product simpler to operate or manufacture?
