The interview process was very straightforward and, as promised, the interviewers were timely and respectful and asked thorough questions. The response time was a bit slow, but there were factors involved that caused that. It came down to myself and another applicant. They were hired due to more gaming experience, but later I was asked to consider the position as they were rehiring.

It was a really disorganized interview process. They didn't send any questions beforehand. Some hiring committee members joined from their phones, making the sound quality awful. The manager asked extra questions, which I know isn't allowed because I've worked in public institutions. Both interviews were remote. I could hear a child crying in the background, which was very distracting and unprofessional. I never got an email from HR after the second interview, even after waiting weeks and trying to reach out. They clearly hired someone else but didn't bother to let me know. The committee also lacked diversity, with only women present. The second round with the director and VP felt like they were antisocial. I'm so glad I didn't hear back. It felt like they were looking for a specific type of person, not someone qualified, and didn't care about credentials or experience.

I submitted my application online in late October of 2014, and then got called in for an interview in early December of 2014! The entire process from application to interview was super long. The first round was a panel interview with the Director and 4 other LWIT staff. It lasted an hour and the questions were kind of vague and generic. I felt like I did a great job though! They said it would take about a week to decide on who moves to the next round. Honestly, the unprofessionalism of the interview committee, the generic questions that didn't really fit the job, and the low pay really put me off. I've decided not to move forward to the next round!

I applied online and they got back to me about 4-5 weeks later. I was invited for an interview where I met with 6 people from the department. They each asked some basic interview questions. I followed up with an email two weeks later and was told they decided to re-open the position as a counselor instead, which felt like a waste of my time, and I assumed for the other candidates too.
