First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lake Research Partners.
Intern
The interview was pretty easy, not that tough. The interviewer mostly asked about my background, why I wanted to apply, my skills, and academic interests, and how my experiences fit the job.
- Can you tell me more about yourself, and why you applied, and why LRP, etc.?
Intern
There was a sample word editing task to do over email. You had a few days to a week to finish it, and it was meant to show what the internship would be like.
- What sparked your interest in this industry?
- Why did you apply for this specific role?
Analyst
I had a phone interview that went pretty well. After that, I was sent an analytics test, which involved reviewing a past survey sample and writing a short memo. However, I never heard back from them after submitting the test, which felt very unprofessional. They also sent the test late and I had to keep asking them to communicate.
- Tell me about your experience in the political world.
Intern
The interview process had two parts. First, a regular interview. Then, about one to two weeks later, there was a skills test where I had to edit a fake presentation and email.
- I don't recall the specific questions, but they were pretty basic and nothing unexpected.
