The interview process was a bit irritating. You start with an online application and then almost immediately get an invitation for a HireVue assessment, which is basically a pre-recorded webcam interview with standard corporate questions like, “If a customer is mad what do you do?”. I found this to be a waste of time since any candidate would know how to answer those questions. If you pass this part, you then get called to their corporate office near the airport for another round. They review your HireVue recording and discuss your previous jobs and experiences. I'm annoyed because, for an entry-level job, this process felt overly long and detailed, especially considering the pay and the fact it might be a part-time role. I felt I was overqualified from the start, yet they put me through so many interview stages. It's typical for these companies to expect a lot from entry-level, minimum-wage employees, wanting full commitment to their brand while offering very low pay. Entry-level jobs should have simpler interviews.

So, the first interview was supposed to be with HR, but they had to reschedule because their kid was sick. When it finally happened, it was just a standard screening. They told me I'd hear back the next week, but I didn't. I followed up myself two weeks later, still nothing. Then another week went by, still no response. Finally, HR got back to me four weeks after our first chat, just to say they'd have an update in another week or two. Then I had a second interview with the CMO and the VP of Marketing Strategy, but honestly, they didn't seem into it from the start. I tried to give them some extra background on my experience and why I was interested, stuff not on my resume, and even offered to let them ask super specific questions about my past roles to save time. But the questions they asked were really basic, like 'tell me about yourself in three words' or 'how many projects do you handle weekly/monthly?' – the kind of stuff I'd expect for an entry-level role. They didn't ask anything specific about my actual jobs. I tried to point out things in my current role that I thought fit this job, but they clearly didn't get it, didn't ask follow-up questions, and just didn't seem interested. As someone who interviews people all the time, I was really disappointed by how unprepared and inexperienced the interviewers seemed; they weren't even sure what they were looking for. When I asked them what problems they wanted the new hire to solve, they just said, 'Nothing really, we're doing okay.' I left wondering why they were even hiring for this position, it felt like the role wasn't that important, especially when they called their PMs 'order takers'.

I sent in my application online, and then about a week later, the HR person gave me a call to set up an interview. The next week, I went to the corporate office for an interview with two HR trainers. They asked me to talk about the good things about one of the credit union's banking services or products that I found on their website. The week after that, they called me with the offer and the pay.

Applied online and then got a call for a phone interview, it was a general screening. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview. Two managers were there and they asked me some basic questions about my background and experience. They also went into detail about the position and what it entails. I got an offer about a week and a half later.
