I applied for a Security Supervisor role with my background in theme park security, 4 years of college, and law enforcement training. The application had to be submitted in person. I went to HR and was interviewed on the spot by an HR assistant, not someone from the department I was applying for. During the interview, I was asked about my officer training hours. I mentioned my armed and non-armed guard training, FEMA experience, and my degree with emergency management coursework. The HR assistant then stated that being a security guard is not the same as being a security officer, despite the terms being interchangeable and her lack of knowledge. She then asked me to define FEMA. I was offered the job immediately, but I couldn't accept it due to ethical reasons.

They do group interviews. Ask you questions as a group regarding the history of the park and ask you to do a roleplay of certain circumstances, then leave out of the room to make a final decision and call you out one by one to let you know what they have decided.

It was a group interview, straight to the point. There were about 6 others in the room and we all went around answering the same questions. It felt very informal and the environment was great. They got back to me right away and I started as soon as possible.
