Lagardère Interview Questions
& Process

The interview included an introduction where I was asked to talk about my experience in investor relations at Lagardère and how it prepared me for this role. I explained that at Lagardère, I worked in financial communication, developing skills in communication, financial analysis, and investor relations. Then, there were several blocks discussing my responsibilities at Lagardère, including managing financial communication, preparing financial reports, communicating with institutional investors and analysts, monitoring the financial market, and my achievements in improving visibility and investor confidence. The experience helped me gain essential skills. Finally, I summarized how my investor relations experience at Lagardère prepared me for the role and expressed my enthusiasm to bring these skills to the company. I was also advised to be specific, use concrete examples, show relevance to the target role, and be ready for specific questions about my experience and transferable skills.

The interview was in person. Keely O'Brien asked a lot of questions about my background and my fit with the company. Keely is a really nice and funny lady who made me feel comfortable. She asked me what my strongest attributes are and how they could help the company. They hire a lot of interns every summer. Be ready for a long and hard summer that is fun, but also needs a ton of work.

The interview process was straightforward. The HR person was nice and even asked me to leave a review on Glassdoor, mentioning it helps them maintain a positive word-of-mouth reputation. The last interview was quite intimidating, and ultimately, I was not selected because I couldn't meet the required start date for the position.

It was a long interview. The interviewer seemed to deliberately ask tricky questions and made me feel really uncomfortable. I wasn't surprised when I didn't get the job. The other people I briefly saw while waiting seemed nice though.
