The interview started with a recruiter phone screen, then a phone screen with someone from controllership. The next week, I went in for an afternoon interview with 3 people (HR, peer, hiring manager) and got a quick office tour. A good part of this interview was about culture fit. The hiring manager interview was more technical, focusing on my finance work experience. The final step, if they wanted to move forward, would have been a meeting with the CEO/Co-founder. There was a slight delay in getting feedback, but they ended up going with another candidate. It felt like a fair and challenging process for a company hiring new talent. If you're prepared and can show how your background fits what they need, it'll be a good chat.

Don't trust verbal offers from this company. They really dragged their feet for a few weeks. When I had two other good offers, they finally gave me a verbal offer. They said the contract would be sent out the next Monday, but it apparently wasn't approved and they ghosted me. It was a terrible way to treat someone. I'm actually glad it ended up this way though. Who wants to work for a company that treats people like this? It's bad for business and not ethical. I wish them well, but I hope the leadership changes. Otherwise, I don't see them succeeding.

My interview experience at TheLadders was one of the best I've had. After applying, I was contacted by Raynard (Ray), who was super professional, transparent, and helpful, making the whole recruitment process simple and easy. I then interviewed with the Hiring Manager and her team. They were all really patient and made sure I understood their work and how I could contribute value. If you're looking for a company that respects employees and has great benefits, definitely check out TheLadders!

The interview process with TheLadders was excellent. Communication was clear and transparent about next steps. I had a dedicated contact who kept me updated. It was a smooth experience. There were two phone interviews, followed by an onsite meeting with four people. I received an offer shortly after. The onboarding was also great, including an office orientation and introduction to the company culture on the first day. Paperwork was processed quickly. I highly recommend joining TheLadders.
