First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Labor Finders.
Manager
It started with a 1-hour phone interview. After that, I had an in-person interview. They really dug into my experience in the staffing industry and then asked about my sales experience. They were pretty quick to get back to me with their decision and were open about compensation.

Branch Manager
The interview process started quickly with a phone screen and then an in-person interview with the Area Manager. When I arrived, they asked me to call them and said the front door would be locked. They explained they locked it because they were afraid someone would come in and ask a question they didn't know the answer to, which I found strange especially during a pandemic. The interview itself was a good conversation with standard questions. I enjoyed meeting the Area Manager and felt confident I could do the job well. She did mention they struggle to find candidates willing to work, which made me question locking the door to potential candidates. I believe in my previous regional roles, this would have been addressed quickly. The next day, I had a phone interview with an Area Salesperson which also went well. He mentioned I would interview with the COO and that there were 3 candidates, but they would narrow it down to me and one other. I spent a few hours preparing by researching the company and industry. A week passed with no contact, so I reached out. Another week passed before a response, apologizing for the delay due to vacation and stating they hired someone else. This was disappointing given my unemployed status. They hired someone without prior branch or P&L management experience, while I have over a decade of it. I suspect age may have been a factor. I lost all respect for them when they admitted to locking the door out of fear of not knowing answers, as that's how you learn, and in the staffing business, you need every candidate.
- Were the questions asked pretty standard?
- Did the interview follow behavior-based interview questions, which is what I was expecting for a staffing company?
Administrative Assistant
Had 2 interviews, one with the branch manager and another with the regional manager. It started with a phone interview, then I met with the branch manager. The following week, I met with the regional manager. A few days later, I received a call with an offer. They also do a full background check, which includes a credit check. It's pretty standard for an interview process these days.
- What's your ability to judge people?
Call Center Operator
It was more like a skills evaluation than a typical interview. I had to do a typing test, a spelling test, and then I had to repeat words back as they were spoken. I see now why they call it an assessment because it's really not a traditional interview.
- What is your motivation for wanting to join our company?
