First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at L3Harris.
Mechanical Engineer
The job I'm interviewing for is really focused on Solidworks design work. I wanted to know how you guys use this software in your day-to-day to make sure it's a good fit for me. After that, he asked if I had any questions.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Could you describe how you utilize Solidworks design software in your current role?
Mechanical Engineer
It was a panel interview with 3 engineers and engineering managers. Since it's an entry-level position, the questions were mostly about my personality, teamwork, and leadership skills. There were a few technical questions, but they were more to gauge my problem-solving approach than to check if I knew the exact answer. They want someone they can work with, but I also needed to show I'm hardworking and capable. Using the STAR method is good, but don't talk too much.
- Can you share an instance of a time you encountered failure?
Mechanical Engineer
The interview had 3 stages. First, I spoke with a recruiter. Then, I had a call with the hiring manager. Finally, I went for an on-site interview where I met a panel of engineers from different disciplines. It was a good chance to show what I can do.
- Can you tell me about your past work experiences?
