So, it was a pretty standard interview process. First, I had a phone call. Then, they flew me out for an in-person interview. During that, we talked about what the job entailed and my past work experience. They also gave me a tour of part of the place. After that, he hit me with some specific questions about batteries and charging, which I'll detail below. This was way back in 2008.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • The interviewer stated that all batteries are 1.5V, or close to it. I think they wanted to see how I’d react to that statement, but it made me wonder if they really knew their stuff.
  • What are your thoughts on the statement that all batteries are 1.5V?

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I had two interviews for this role. The first one was a quick 30-minute screening with the hiring manager, focusing on behavioral questions about my background and projects. The second interview was a longer, 1.5-hour technical session. It seemed like the interviewer might have some flexibility in how they conducted it, as there wasn't a strict script. I was asked to put together a presentation about a past project I worked on. Besides that, the discussion covered problem-solving skills and questions about lab test equipment.
