Behavioral Technical

I applied for the role through a LinkedIn post. The HR department reached out for an initial conversation, where they introduced the company and the position's activities. Afterwards, I completed a practical test, but unfortunately, I wasn't successful and was informed that I wouldn't be proceeding further in this process.

Coding

The interview involved a live coding session where I had to create a mini web application to display a paginated list of Pokemons fetched from a URL. The task required me to implement fetching the initial Pokemon page and adding an onClick event using Tailwind CSS. Even though I mentioned I wasn't familiar with Tailwind CSS, I managed to complete the exercise. Afterward, the interviewer asked for my thoughts on the task. Unfortunately, I didn't receive an offer, and no feedback was provided regarding the reason for this decision.

  • Could you start by telling me about yourself?
  • What were your impressions of the Pokemon list exercise?

Behavioral Technical

Ghosted after an in-person onsite. Had several virtual interviews with a Kyte cofounder before a half-day onsite where I took time off work. Spent about 10 hours in total and paid for my own transport to the Kyte office. Never heard back weeks after the onsite. The interview was average, with senior people asking few skill-based questions, seeming more interested in cultural fit. The Kyte office was small, with limited meeting rooms. Kyte needs better HR to avoid unprofessional candidate experiences. Their pitch deck relies on high growth assumptions, and it's unclear if they are on track for Series B.

Behavioral Case Presentation

So there were two rounds of interviews total. The first one was with the communications manager and it was pretty basic, like just standard interview questions and talking about my background, and then they gave me a take-home task. The second interview was with the director and it was more in-depth, they threw in some case studies and scenario-based questions.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Could you walk me through your background and explain why you think you're a good fit for our company?
  • Tell me about your experience and how it aligns with the requirements of this position.
  • Given these scenarios, what would be your approach?
